It just struck me like a lightning-bolt that up the street, round the corner, in the next village or town there may be someone whose life could touch mine and yet for all the wonders of the virtual world in which we live, neither of us might know the other exists, or where, even though we might brush shoulders in the checkout queue, and that, despite having thousands of "friends" in Washington, Wagga-Wagga and West Bromwich of whom we think we know so much but are never likely to encounter in the flesh.
Just a wee reflection.
