The theory of swinging can be complex and best described as quantum-sociological. Swinging as a simple theory by scientific methods:
Observation: Every swinger is sex mad
Hypothesis: All swingers must be sex mad.
Test: A random sampling of swingers from each continent where swingers are found produces only sex mad swingers.
Publication: 'My global research has indicated that swingers are always sex mad, wherever they are observed.'
Verification: Every swinger any other scientist has ever observed in any country has always been sex mad.
Theory: All swingers are sex mad.
Prediction: The next swinger I encounter will be sex mad.
Note, however, that although the prediction is useful, the theory does not absolutely provethat the next swinger I see will be sex mad. Thus it is said to befalsifiable. If anyone ever saw a frigid swinger, the theory would have tobe tweaked or thrown out. Real scientific theories must be falsifiable.
But then again a swinger who is frigid must be something other than a swinger as a pre-requisite for swinging is the partaking of sexual acts with or in the presence of other swingers.
