I have to agree. Really frustrating when you are trying this out to not be able to see the messages I am being sent. Last time I briefly used this site it was great. You could at least see one message per day. Cmon!

Thanks for voicing this Erotic. I would add that those automated messages are really wrong to be sent on your name or anybody's It actually makes even more difficult to start a proper line of communication.

Well what can I add to that, I may have not been on as long as some on here, but yes i too have noticed that the chat room has become very stagnant, just when a conversation gets going, some imbecile posts their contact detail, and to be honest I can do with out that.
so Admin can you please revert the site back to how it was so the fun can resume.

I have been here nearly 13 years and the chat is bloody awful to what it used to be. Endless cock and tit pics,,,,c'mon if we really want to see them its not hard is it? Why inundate the chat room with them? I agree a lot of the people who used to make the chat room enjoyable have moved on, as we all must but not being able to pm your friends is really the last straw.

I just like others have been here several years now and have become disillusioned with the changes. I was a regular in chat and blogs and interracted with lots of wonderful people who I now consider close friends and hope they remain so for a long time. However I doubt that could now happen due to the restrictions imposed. Chat changes have lead to large numbers of regular and popular chatters to leave instead we get monosyllabic chats and endless pics. The private interraction is now impossible unless you pay, but why should you pay when there's no one to talk to?
The blogs are now a shadow of themselves. Where once they were funny, moving, thought provoking blogs most are now nonsensical, mindless and dull. Despite rules from admin about content these are almost totally ignored while genuine comments are constantly removed. Once where blogs got hundreds of replies now most are lucky to get a dozen.
I have paid in the past and I paid because the hub was a fun place to be encouraging interaction between members but now it seems the opposite.
I understand the owners need to make it pay but please look at how that is done because at the moment it is doing nothing to keep regulars or attract newbies.

I'd been thinking of writing something similar recently but EG has beaten me to it. Hats off to her because it had to be said. Sadly (??) I still have 8 months to run so I'll stick it out to get my money's worth. However I suspect I'd have been better served if I'd bought a fistful of premium bonds with my membership instead.

My reasoned and well thought out criticism has been torpedoed in the usual generic manner without as much as a by your leave :-) Perhaps there is an unwritten level of criticism beyond which posts get singled out for destruction, as I note this thread otherwise remains :-) Hilarious.

I've been on this site in one way or another for quite a while as well and have seen lots of changes some good some not so and the above reflects how i see things to.

In comparison to some i am a relative newcomer...
to be totally honest, i didn't like either of the chat platforms at first and avoided the older classic chat like a dose of summin' nasty..
as for the beta chat as it was called, that was stale and boring.
I was enticed into the classic chat by someone who wishes to remain anonymous... i don't think she wishes it known she associates with an oik like moi...
But when Sassy introduced me to the guys and gals in the chat, it opened a new realm of the site, and new people..
It was very much an 'us and them' attitude when it came to blogland and chat, me being a little strange and enquiring didn't mind straying from the safety of blogland where you could take your time to respond to others, and enjoy the quick witted quips of those in the chat room...

Then it all went a bit Pete Tong, the blogs were plagued by the evil blog fairy, casting her her wicked 'xxxxxx' all over your posts and latter, the blog demon who would randomly delete blogs for no apparent reason

Chat didn't fare much better, the two unruly neighbours were made to move in together and well, chaos ensued...
Todgers and titties in your face all day long... made concentrating on chatting very difficult.

So people left, we lost some good men along the way, but things seemed to have settled...
we are left though with this war scared landscape, a ghostly image of its former glory...
Strangers filled that void, although very few come much stranger than me...

I found myself disillusioned, bored of the now mundane blogs and sick and tired of the persistent penises in chat....and the cock photos were just as annoying.

I took refuge elsewhere.... in my happy place... the bosom of something special, and here, i, along with others grieved the loss of what had become a good and faithful servant.... The Hub

But it seems some carried on in their quest to restore this once worthy place to its former glory....Those willing to stand up and be counted, wanting to make a difference and return this beloved place to somewhere we can all be proud to co-exist in harmony.
Carry on this struggle my brothers...and sisters...bring your arms to bear, or any others bits you wish to bear... just as long as they are tastefully photographed and do not look like an something that should be in the medical journal!!!

Chrissy: I'm afraid "Dad Dancing" is the best I can do. I guess it's a generation thing. There used to be something called "para-para" here decades ago but it resembled a vertical version of the hand jive. Have to admit though that the Japanese have always been suckers for mass-synchronized dancing: they seem to have their own oriental versions Bollywood choreography. I was in the gym yesterday slumped over a weight machine, and in a moment of reverie stared through the window of one of the studios where about 30 Japanese were doing Zumba. I was simply fascinated at the effortless way they all seemed to mimic each other's movements to the millisecond and millimeter. If I'd tried it I would have looked like a total arse within about a minute. Gotta hand it to them.....now back to the abdominal krunches......... :-)

I don't mean to sidetrack your issues only add one of my own. As a novice in November I thought I was being inundated with requests to meet. It was some weeks later I realised all those invites were auto generated messages and the profile owners seldom knew they had been posted.  I joined on the strength of those fake messages and a feel cheated and made foolish.

The members I have the pleasure to be in contact with are truthful and honest.  This site should respect those qualities and express them by not sending fake introductions.
