The One who ticks your boxes. Makes your heart beat faster. Wakes you at night with visions of what it’ll be like. You want to text him at all hours, but hold yourself back somehow. You want him, and you know it—you even admit it to yourself.
Then: you remind yourself of the one box that makes the others pale in comparison. The one thing that brings you back to earth (til the next time you chat with him). The one “no, I won’t go there” box. Maybe he’s too kinky. Not kinky enough. Too attached. Too single. Has been in jail one time too many. Or not enough. Sings like a frog.
When recalling that one thing that makes him Mr Wrong, how do you convince yourself it’s enough to just drop the whole thing? Or do you?

What about allowing yourself to listen to what somebody told you about them? Something that turned you off at the time but with hindsight it didn't really matter.
