Boasted to be fifty times the pleasure and the pain! On Thursday, June 18, Fifty Shades of Grey author E L James released her latest novel, 'Grey', a take on her first bestselling erotic novel. The previous 3 left an awful lot to be desired in some minds and truly tantalised the tastebuds of others.
I'd like to ask you guys what is the most erotic thing you have ever read? Be it a novel, an article, a poem or a note from a lover, what sent your senses into a spin when it comes to all things ‘wordy’?
Oh! And has anyone read the book yet? What did you think?

Hello Maria xx A poem by John Keats entitled " Bright Star " On one level you might think it is about Keats love of the natural world butgiven the background, he uses mainly symbolism to describe his infatuation and erotic thoughts for a woman ( unknown ) I was lucky enough to have an English Master who opened my eyes to this when I was doing A level literature and the discovery of the the true meaning of the piece, was mind-blowing. " The Rainbow " by D H Lawrence ( the prequel of " Women in Love " I also found to be very erotic, much more so than Lady Chatterley's lover.

Great choices Fetch, I love the poem 'Bright Star' too. I must confess that I had to search the art references, very intriguing stuff. ImogenM I have heard of 'Delta of Venus' but I have never read the collection. I shall investigate. Same with your suggestions Garryandkerry :-) |

Fail. Fail fail fail. I started the first shades of grey as we took it in book club. One member ADORED it and recommended it as an eye opener. I made it to the first sex scene (as i felt i had to) but didn't mention that i'd heard better sex scenes online (despite the fact that I don't to sex chat!).

Sexiest thing i have read is the communications between me and my partner when he was overseas working and we were sending one another insane with all the commentary about what we were fantasizing about doing to one another... it got rather steamy and we learnt so much about one another in the process... our deepest and darkest thoughts came out wow x |
