The excuses for disappearing....
From my having to say "I think I'll need to see a police report to believe this one" to the reason being that "I found myself thinking about you too much, it scared me and I had to back off." From "Going through a divorce/separation and had to back off to get my head together again" to a simple "No explanation--sorry." Then there are the ones who are simply MIA with no excuse at all.
I know for a fact that I'm not the only one who has heard these....what's the best you've heard?

I wish *I* had thought up a good excuse for disappearing when I once travelled 200 miles and hired a car for a date, only to discover I didn't fancy the woman at all :-) I've been far more cautious about getting a full picture since then. |
