Wow, the Grinch has arrived! I am not into celebrating the arrival of the new year, and will no doubt be in bed well before 10, but any chance to get out and about with friends is a cause worth noting!

I have never been able to genuinely celebrate the new year. All it says to me is just one year closer to being dead.

GDU - Yes, of course, but it doesn't stop me spiraling downwards at New Year's Eve reflecting on the fact that I've fucked up another perfectly good year.

Oh, btw, my 2014 had a great start. Early to bed and no alcohol, so I got up early and in a good mood. After taking a nice hot shower I went to put on some fresh clothes. Unfortunately the lock on my beautiful and rather solid oak cupboard decided on that precise moment to fail in the locked position.
I then had to spend a considerable period of time wrapped in just a small damp towel getting cold whilst I forced the lock. So now I have a damaged piece of furniture and a grumpy attitude going on. Which is nice.

My new year's celebration ended up being nothing like what I expected. All plans changed, as they are wont to do in my life these days.

I ended up at a comedy club with a friend and his friends. I felt comfortable and welcomed. After, we went to his place, he poured me yet another double whisky, sat me down and told me quite bluntly some things that I needed to hear. I cried. I laughed. I felt accepted. The tears continued into the next day as I thought about what he'd told me, and know I need to make some serious changes in my life.

No, I didn't meet on new years day, but yes, I needed a day to recover anyway.

If this is indeed the start of how my next year will go, I'm in for a rocky road, but at least it means friends will be involved.

I went out to a club in the Midlands, and not long after midnight, had a threesome with another CD girl and her female partner.
