Born in Cincinnati, I moved a lot when my father's company assigned my father to St. Louis, Sacramento, back to Cincinnati, on to Geneva, Switzerland for 2 years, then back to Cincinnati. Attended Brown University, Class of 1970, BS in physics. Spent a year post-grad at Wesleyan University, got MS in astronomy in 1983. Worked as computer programmer, then Program Manager for the Hubble Space Telescope control center, then 22 years at the US national observatory in Tucson. Retired, living SonoitaElgin area.
