There are so many things I want to try, I just can’t imagine wasting a Sunday parked in front of the TV watching football. Around here, football’s almost a religion. If you’re someone who’d rather spend an afternoon trout fishing, or exploring around Chattanooga, or just fixing a wonderful meal in the kitchen with me, you just might be the girl I’m looking for.
I own my own business, and let me tell you, the boss is a real… oh wait, that’s me. Actually, it’s great to have the flexibility of calling the shots, taking time off when I want to. I want to dig in and enjoy life. My bucket list is a mile long. I want to go skydiving. I want to travel— I want to see Stonehenge, the Van Gogh Museum--and I’d love to go to some of the places Anthony Bourdain travels to. You’ve probably figured out I’m a foodie. I think a great date would be taking a cooking class together, learning some great new dish to share with friends and family. But if you’re not crazy about cooking, that’s okay, I can have dinner waiting when you get home from work, if you promise to help with the dishes!
I love movies. From silent films right up to today. It’s hard to settle on a favorite, but right now I’m on the monster movies. I love Marvel movies too, I mean, who doesn’t love a super hero? Comic Con would be a hoot to go to on a date. But don’t worry, I don’t have a man cave full of comics and collectibles. I am a bit of a geek, but all things in moderation. Except when it comes to Doctor Who… I’ve seen every one of them. Extra points if you know what Whovian is.
I gotta tell you, I HATE exercise. I mean, I hate it with a white-hot passion. But (sigh), I know I need to work on that and get a little healthier. I’m walking now, and I did come up with a baked okra recipe and stopped frying it. I’m willing to try anything once, so if you want to make me your project, as Jack Nicholson’s character said in As Good as it Gets, maybe you’ll “make me want to be a better man.”
You may have noticed that I’m pretty easygoing and that humor is important to me. I just think life’s a lot more fun if you can laugh at yourself. It’s all about attitude and seeing the opportunity right in front of you instead of rushing through life. One of my best dates somehow turned into a whistling contest. (She won.) Sure, it was silly, but that’s the goofy kind of stuff that lights me up. If you like to laugh, eat, play and enjoy life, and you’re looking for a partner who’ll appreciate the spark in you,
