After 60 yrs of age, there's only one period of play left in the (hockey) game of life. Most of us won't make it to hear the final buzzer of the game. Those of us who are still in play after 3 periods of regular play will move on to the inescapable: sudden death overtime.
We don't know when and for how long it will be before our body or mind permanently benches us.
My wonderful wife and companion of 40 yrs and whom I dearly love has been benched for many years now.
I remain endowed with vitality, love of life, good humoured intelligence and an unfulfilled sex drive.
