There are many things I like and many things I dislike. Some things I enjoyed are Cultural Studies classes, two of which were 'Comedy: Text and Theory' and 'Monsters, Cyborgs, and Robots'. In one we talked joyously on de-centering a centered universe. Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food Music: Rhymesayers, most things on The Current, Radio K or KFAI.
Movies: The Third Man, 7 Samurai, Lawrence of Arabia, Godfather, Dr. Strangelove, Anchorman, Network, Amadeus (the last hour is fucking glorious), Wages of Fear, Star Trek 2, 4, 6, & 8 (not 10), Wes Anderson, Errol Morris, Coen Brothers, P.T. Anderson...
TV: Lost, Arrested Development, Mad Men, Daily Show, Colbert, Star Trek (TOS through DS9), Breaking Bad, It's Always Sunny, Futurama, anything by webb and mitchell. Books: Lapham's Quarterly, The Nation, Harper's, Asimov, Clark, Gaiman, Palahniuk, other things. Nearly all types of food can be good, so it depends on the mood. I have zero interest in sports watching.
