OK, so I get a lot of people asking questions, and there are obviously some misconceptions about a few things, so I thought I'd add a little note here to help you along :)
The BDSM 'scene' is a pretty huge and amorphous beast. For those of you that don't know there are quite a few readings of the acronym, but for most BDSM stands for Bondage, Discipline, Slave and Master. It encompasses a whole host of pecadilloes, however I pretty much subscribe to the first two - Bondage and Discipline.
Now, this doesn't mean that I'm about to tie you up and flay the living daylights out of you. For the most part (particularly when I meet couples) I'm acting as a prop - the conduit for your fantasies and roleplay. I enjoy playing with 'bottoms', or 'subs' rather than true slaves. What's the difference? Well usually a 'bottom' or 'sub' has desires and fantasies of their own which are fulfilled through playing - they may enjoy being tied up , spanked, or simply enjoy handing control over to another person (the 'top' or 'dom'). A slave will submit to their topdom completely, and subjugate all control and desire to him or her.
I prefer the more sensual act of giving pleasure through control, whether that be by restraining or disciplining my playthings :) At all times though there is a two-way path for satisfaction - I want to leave my plaything as satisfied as I am...and I have more than a few tricks up my sleeve.
Whilst I consider myself fairly skilled with the crop, whip, paddle and cane this is by no means an integral part of play - if it's your bag then thats fine, but the aim here is to introduce a level of sensation short of true pain, and keep this sensation on the borderline between pain and pleasure.
The aim IS NOT to whip you red raw :) this would stop play and end all the fun!
There's an enormous amount of trust involved in BDSM play, so I always insist on a social meet first to ensure a) there is sufficient chemistry between us to allow the play to work (it's almost impossible to play properly if not) and b) everyone is aware of the limits of play. No exceptions, no diversions - this is for everyones safety.
What I won't do:
Rape fantasies - This is (in my opinion) far too dangerous play for two strangers, so whilst I have indulged it has always been with long term partners or playthings.
Kids or Animals - goes without saying.
Abandonment - I will never, ever leave you tied up and unnattended - ever. Period.
Breath controlasphyxiation - as with rape fantasies, waaaay too dangerous unless we know each other inside out.
Suspension - again, far too dangerous and I am not skilled enough with the rope to perform suspensions.
Play with other Dommes - I prefer to play alone, as the power play becomes a little complex otherwise. Not a hard and fast rule, but a preference.
What I will do:
Protect, care, nurture and respect you, your limits and your wishes.
Be mindful of your safety and wellbeing at all times.
