I've spent quite a bit of time on dating sites. My
experience has been that is comparable to being lost
in a wasteland with many other lost people. on with the show: I work in state government in an unpopular field, but I am good at what I do and have done it for 20 years. As far as who I am looking for: I don't want a "10". I DO want somebody that isn't eaten up with herself but likes to wear 2 piece bathing suits, short shorts, crop tops and occasionally mini skirts, depending on her mood. I don't believe in over-idealizing when looking for Ms. Right because that would be a recipe for disaster, nobody is perfect and everybody takes a nose dive sooner or later. I'll be 52 and have found that brains, looks and loyalty comes in all colors. To limit due to ethnicity or race is silly and counter productive. I am not in the 40 per cent category of people over weight, but I am out of shape and have invested in a home gym.I am not an egotist and I am not insecure in the area of who makes the most money. It isn't a competition and I have nothing to prove. Somebody will take me for who I am and that would be sufficient. If I wanted to compete I'd play sandlot football. I don't have a belly button fetish, but I like it when a woman wears something where it shows
(sigh). I don't have a problem with distances of
500-600 miles. I can drive 16 hours straight. I
wouldn't have a problem with a trip that involved
meeting and then going someplace else. But I
wouldn't want to go to Paradise because that would
also risk over-idealizing. One thing I have noticed on
those sites is all the beautiful, LONELY people. That
amazes me. I would think that there wouldn't be a
need for many of these folks to have to come on line
in search of anything. Oh well, on with my saga: I
have a cell phone with free long distance. I enjoy
history and historical shows on TV as well as movies. I
also like horror, action and who done its. Depending
on the plot, I also can be a sucker for romantic
movies. I have seen plenty of profiles on plenty of
sites and have written plenty of my own. Mine have
ranged from dull to mundane because I expected
people to read between the lines, or go gaga over my
picture. Well low and behold that isn't the case. I have
written similar profiles on another sites and if you saw
them you would see similarities. This isn't a cut and
paste, it's banged out word for word. I can do that
because I mean it and the words are all in my head,
sincerely. I could list quirks, well besides belly buttons
peeking out in public, yes I have a few which I will
reserve for conversation fodder. Thank you for
