I'm a retired scientist -- specifically, an observational astronomer; I taught at the University of Illinois (8 yr) and the University of California, Berkeley (38 yr), and was then a Research Professor at the University of Washington (12 yr, but still connected). My field is the structure and populations of stellar systems, especially globular star clusters.
