That’s right. You can attain enlightenment without turning into an asshole. It’s possible to revert to that state of not giving a fuck, but with a self-awareness that just can’t claim. Look, there’s a long list of things I still give a fuck about (being on time, gettinghours of sleep, artisanal pizza), and near the top of that list is being polite. Honest, but polite.
