After my long nose, the first thing people notice is my laugh Both because I constantly joke and also because I laugh with my whole body. I like bad jokes about as much as good ones and make plenty of both. I relish with and savor puns. I probably laugh too much at my own jokes. I promise I'll make you laugh. I love stories. Funny ones, bizarre ones, ones with a twist. Almost always, they're ones that make you think. I love good storytellers. I listen to This American Life, Radiolab, and Moth podcasts. I read The Onion. I try to live my life so I end up in interesting spots with interesting people. I'm friendly. I'm from California I talk with cashiers and love it when we both end up laughing. I love music. I like exploring it, seeing it played live, experiencing it. I frequently go to shows and prefer small venues. I listen to all genres of music but like independent rock, Americanafolk, and jazz the most. I like dancing. People often laugh when I dance. I love to wonder. I'm curious about how the universe works at a scientific and a societal level. I think about being alive and the events of my life and the world. I like to read. I love nostalgia. I like seeing old TV commercials. I purchase kitsch. I venture through antique stores, garage sales, and thrift shops. I could watch Mad Men with the sound off. I love making a difference in people's lives. I went into medicine because stories are at its heart--from the mundane to the struggles and triumphs of life. I am a compassionate person. I don't judge people by the way they've come to me. This is something we all need, especially when facing challenges in our lives and health. I value relationships with friends, family, and loved ones. They provide the context for enjoying and understanding our lives. I'm looking for interesting people to share the adventure, laughter, and wonder of life with--whether it's an afternoon out or something longer. Let's give it a shot.
