I have very recently returned to the UK after spending the last 20 years living and working in Southern Africa.
I grew up here in the UK and decided to return home after getting divorced in 2004. I have always had my own business and am presently just taking some time to reflect and decide what I want in my life going forwards. A good opportunity to start with a blank page
I am confidently assertive. fairly well groomed and well spoken according to some people I know, It has been said I have an international accent whatever that is.
I was born in the North West but travelled south and grew up in Hertfordshire which is where I live now.
These days I don't know that many people as I have been away from the UK for such a long time. It is however good to be back in familiar surroundings and I plan to stay here for the foreseeable future. In the past I havent really had much time for hobbies, having my own businesses, a family and lifestyle to support has been pretty all consuming and took most of my time.
In future I need to make more time for the relationships in my life. Looking back I made mistakes in trying to do the right thing staying in the wrong relationship for the sake of the children. I has taken many years to realise I have to be true to my sexual needs and to find a partner who is truly compatible. I have travelled around the world mainly on business and there is much more I would like to do, see, and experience.
Appearance
O know I am not the greatest of lookers but neither am I Quasimodos brother, pretty average No body decorations. Slightly built. Well dressed but not big on fashion. I like to comfortable rather than wear the latest brands, I think I would be open to a womans touch in this regard if she thought it was needed. My best feature. Well I have been told by colleagues that I have high personal integrity. In fact I believe that once a man has lost this he really loses his most valuable asset. You can have so much and then so little the next moment both materially and emotionally that messing with peoples heads is just not where I am at. I like to tell it straight. Then you can deal with it. I am also frustrated by the honesty of my fellowman in general, so honesty is a given, Religion, well thats a dicey one, I respect the rights of all to believe in whatever they find gives them strengths but I reserve the right to ask pointed questions on this subject, Morals, Yes I have many too many to outline here but I am in no way a boring prude, quite the opposite really. I think there are has to be limits and a good respect in any relationship for it to thrive.
Looking for
The person I am looking for probably doesnt really exist except in the movies. I like women who take care of themselves and understand that it is important to look good and keep in shape. I would look for a good sense of humour and a caring nature, you will take an interest in whats going on in the world and would have your own opinion, you wouldnt be afraid to share or to take a non conformist view about issues. You are your own woman and will have a good sense of self who can appreciate a man that believes a home and family require strong leadership .
You would be able to express your perspective. Your definitely not a wall flower, If you have kids that would also be fine to, I like kids and they generally like me, However if they are rude and out of control don't expect me to stay silent, look away and just ignore it. It would be really good if they know how to say please and thank you already. Sorry to be so picky but so many kids do not do this. I don't know why as it doesnt cost any money simply takes lots of effort. I would have more children if I could raise them to be happy with the right partner. I like to visit places of cultural and historic interest and read biographies, news, current affairs. I have learned to hate pop culture, I enjoy good films especially UK made dramas, a good party but not every night of the week. Politically I am neither Labour nor Conservative in my thinking. I take an all together differnent view, Want someone who does care about whats going on in and around the world and live in the UK in then please get in touch.
