The Good Guys doll is a fictional doll central to the plot of the horror film franchise Child's Play. The Good Guys toy line was based on a television show of the same name, which the first three films' protagonist, Andy Barclay, watched as a child.
In the first Child's Play movie, serial killer Charles Lee Ray is mortally wounded by an officer in pursuit and is forced to hide in a toy store. Realizing that he is about to die, Ray uses a voodoo chant to pass his soul into a Good Guys doll to avoid dying and going to Hell. The doll is later found by a peddler and sold to Andy Barclay's mother, who gives it to her child as a birthday present.
Good Guys dolls are manufactured by the fictional toy company Play Pals Toys, which is featured heavily in the second film, Child's Play 2.
Each Good Guys doll has its own name, and the dolls are mechanically animated and capable of speaking three sentences:
