If you understand the difference between a child of the 50's, 60's and 80's, you know quite a bit about me. Although I’m over 70, most of who and what I am is the result of growing up in the 50's in a small town in the middle of the bible belt. Basically, I’m a boy scout with a couple of vices. About the only other significant contributor to my world outlook is the fact that I went to college in New Orleans. There I learned tolerance. I discovered that there were people with a radically different view of life and that I could like and respect some of them. It didn’t change who I am but it did teach me not to expect anyone else to adopt or even give lip service to the code of conduct I learned as a child.
