I am a person who understands life in terms of lyrics, poetry, music, art, movies. I also find lyricism in people. There are people in their entire being who are so lyrical, I seek closeness with them. My feelings dominate my reasoning mind. I am convinced that 2 plus 2 is something greater than the obvious and that makes perfect logical sense to me. I am thirsty for greatness, and when I find it, I embrace it, be it a person, or a poem. Great talents conquer me and it is the only thing that can have power over me. Actuality, or realism is boring for me. I want it to be exhilarating. It is in ecstasy I find the norm. If I am to have an experience, it must WOW me. I still have a dream that there is a place somewhere where curiosity and kindness is the norm of being. In cycling I find overwhelming freedom — I learned to say thank you instead of **** you when a motorist nearly runs me off the road. I am not fond of my own sensitivities which do require validations, I find it rather abnormal, so I try to channel it into my creativity. It is competence, not confidence I find sexy. I have met plenty of confident people who were rather incompetent. Think Rick Perry. So confidence is grossly overrated.
