We live an off-grid, self-sufficient life in West Wales with our two ****s. We have the lifestyle and the countryside. Lovely gardens, growing our own food, raising our own stock, living the good life. But our lives are not entirely complete for one another and in trying to satisfy each other we have tested our relationship to almost breaking point. For some it would have caused a split up, but we have reached a maturity in our lives in which we can just see the differences for what they are. It doesn’t change what we feel about each other. We still love each other. But we do understand that if we stay in a purely monogamous relationship then those differences would lead both of us to miss out on things, to be frustrated and unhappy. On top of this we also have a very real practical need to have another adult in the family to help make this small-holding work. The good-life it may be, but it's still blood****rd work.
