Not looking for long term, but not opposed to it either. I'm currently extricating myself out of a bad relationship. Strangely, that isn't involving too much drama so far. Already announced my intention to move out. Just can't afford it yet. When I can, I'll get my own place. I am so looking forward to that by the way... So, in the mean time, it would be nice to find someone to talk with, joke with, sometimes go out and do things with. Looking to find someone I can relate to and vice versa. Looking for a minimal amount of unnecessary drama.
Long story short. I have no idea what to say about myself. Never be comfortable talking about myself. Much rather listen to someone else tell me about them. But, I'll try to give it a shot. Let's see, I'm not a sports guy. Don't need to watch every sporting event on T.V. Just give me my Denver Broncos and I'm good.
I like nature. Like to camp, even been known to kayak. Once. Enjoy swimming at Canyon Lake & tubing the Salt River. Spending the day boating and fishing at Roosevelt Lake is fun. I haven't done it, but a nice picnic in a park with a special someone sounds good too.
I like to read. I can talk, talk, and talk some more about a book I enjoyed. Once, I was so into a book, I read for 12 hours straight. I've really been into the Alternate History Gene for several years now. I've always liked learning about history. I find the whole idea of reading about how a moment in history could have turned out differently very interesting. My favorite books are: Stars and Stripes Series by Harry Harrison, Nantucket Series by S.M. Sterling, Destroyermen Series by Taylor Anderson.
I can be a bit of a nerd at times. That can range from wanting to play Chess, my Hearts of Iron II pc game to playing my Playstation 3. I also have the talent for soaking up copious amounts of useless information. (lots of History Channel, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, etc.) I regularly look stuff up on the internet, just to satisfy my own curiosity.
My favorite movies: 1. Any SuperheroAction movie. (I AM a guy after-all) 2. Sarcastic comedies. (I still miss Phil Hartman, Damn those murderous spouses!) 3. I've even been known to enjoy the occasional Romantic-Comedy. (Hey I'm secure in my masculinity...)
My musical tastes are Godsmack, Metallica, Megadeth, Drowning Pool, Disturbed, Evanescence, Kittie, Halestorm. *Side note: Rock bands with female lead singers are HOT!
