I'm fast approaching midlife being completely wrapped up (by choice) in my kids, family & work. Precious little "me" time to be had, so I make it worth my while when I do get some.
I like to step out of my harried life for a couple hours.
Focus on other things.
This doesn't make me an escapist, just choosing this over some other hobby that will crap up my house with junk (one can only have so much pottery)
