Employed by main contractor on a large bypass project. Duties included assisting the engineers and surveyors set out and survey the site prior to the installation of drainage and bridge structures. I also had the role of collating and submitting soil and sand samples for analysis by the soil investigation subcontractor prior to the implementation of a new sub base system.
During the time spent with the engineers I became familiar with using electronic data measurement equipment to plot points accurately prior to earth works and drainage installations.
