Leigh was home alone for the whole weekend. It was Friday night and the couple she stayed with had already left for their church retreat. Leigh hated being alone. It’s not that she was afraid of the storm raging outside or that she was afraid of someone coming in. The house was all locked up. Leigh just hated being alone, in any form. She’d spent most of her life alone. No friends, barely any family around. She was always alone. Even when in a room full of people, Leigh was alone. Whenever Leigh was alone in a big house for more than a few hours, she started to flip out. She hated being alone.
