On occasion, I indulge in kitchen misadventures. Mastering the art of making fresh mozzarella or the relatively rare instances I pop a chunk of beef garnished with freshly crack black peppercorns, crusted sea salt and a few spiffs of rosemary and garlic cloves.
During the usual working week, I clock my usual 9 to 7s and relish the thought of returning to my abode, to catch a few sitcoms I follow, a good meal, maybe some time with close friends.
I swim. . . when my lunch permits, a midday dip of 2-3 km under the scalding sun. When I yearn for the wind in my face I don my roller blades and whiz down the gentle slopes at the botanic gardens. Tennis is a good stress reliever now and then.
Chemistry. . . the emotional kind, the intellectual kind, the physical kind. When you have a critical mass of those, you might just have a chance of finding someone you can actually come home to.
