For the sake of this Site, we’ll say that my name is Joe. “Hi, I’m Joe, it’s nice to meet you!” It isn’t really of course, but the authorities that be, might frown ever so slightly about such marketing techniques. They seem to have a whole slew of rules regulations and “Standard Operating Procedures” that I can’t even begin to be on par with. It’s sad really. Oh well. No worries though! I’m allowed just a glimmer of freedom and you’re here reading this now, so that’s all that really matters. Good enough.
Aside from not telling you my name, I’d like to take a moment or two to tell you a bit more about me. First off, as I’m sure you have already guessed I’m stationed overseas. Northern Baghdad to be exact. I’m plodding my way through my second and hopefully final deployment with Army. I was actually scheduled to have left the Army by now, yet the Army (and her infinite wisdom), decided that I would be much happier being involuntarily extended to do another round in the desert. (us poor dumb ole’ boys can’t think for ourselves, obviously) It’s a bit of Black Eye for me, but I’m slowly finding my peace with it. Which is good, cause’ I have little else choice. I shan’t mention my unit or camp location or anything like that you see, but I’m not sure that’s even relevant at this time. I can say though that I am an Infantryman and also a Battlefield Network Technician. (Computer Nerd that goes out on a lot of patrols). Otherwise, in my previous and future life, I’m an outdoorsy sort of chap. Very athletic. I have quite an athletic body in fact. Yet, not in the sense of a Body Builder or anything. I’m more of your lean and toned long distance runner sort. I’ve always been a very dedicated runner. It has proven to be a very constructive source of relaxation. That, and I just like to running. All in all, I think I’m quite well- rounded. I am a very caring, empathetic and well mannered person. I wholly believe that everyone should be treated as we would like to be treated ourselves. The “Golden Rule” pays dividends. A Computer Nerd and a Bookworm to say the least. Yet, I’m also the out going and adventurous type. Both ends of the rainbow you might say. I was the kid in High School that could hang-out with everyone. I don’t really belong to any sort of social clique. I’m just me and I try not to let fads and phases effect me. I do my own thing and do it the best that I may. As I said, I’m very active. I hate sitting still for very long, unless that is the intent. I do say that I’m the type that likes to drive fast, find myself lost on purpose, run and jump for no reason, play in rain puddles and have fun. I am in the process of quitting smoking however. I think smoking is a pre-requisite to joining the Army. I hate it. It does in fact seem quite contradictory to the fact that I love to run so much. It was actually the development of my smoking habit that lead to the end of a promising career as collegiate and perhaps professional distance runner. Oh well. I’ll kick the foul habit I’m sure. I do also drink on occasion. Not now though of course. That too is against regulations while in Iraq. But, I’ll be looking forward to a couple nice drinks when I come home on leave in August.
Speaking of August, I would like to tell you of a little dream of mine. I have always dreamt of taking a nice Caribbean Cruise. Even though I’m a Ground-Pounding Infantry Grunt, I have always had a fascination with the open seas and waves. I have decided that it is one thing to have a goal and a fantasy, and it’s quite another to be pro-active and go for it. Hence, I’m taking a cruise this Summer. Yeah for me! Yet there seems to be a problem. (Go figure) I’ve not anyone to accompany me. I’ve put a considerable amount of thought into this and have opted to go anyways. So here it is, I’m looking for someone to come with me. I have taken the liberty of already coordinating with the travel agency and have a reservation for 2 folks. Myself and a beautiful, sexy lady. Or perhaps with no one at all. I’m hoping for the former. I’m not looking to split the cost of the reservations with anyone. I’m quite comfortable affording both. (Not that I’m rich mind you. I’ve just nothing to spend too much money on right now in the barren deserts of SE Asia). I’ll be completely honest with everyone right up front. I’m not really looking for a relationship. I’m just looking for someone who wants to go off and have a nice sexy vacation. I’m originally from Lincoln Nebraska and full intentions of returning there after I get home for Iraq. I’m willing to explore opportunities with any wonderful people out there, yet it would of course be nice to meet someone close to my home. Should that be the case, I would indeed be more apt to explore something more serious. Yet, for right now, I like to think of this as just a sexy adventure in a luxurious cruise ship and exotic beaches. I haven’t quite planned out how we should meet yet when it came to departure from our Port Call. I would like to leave that to individual planning with anyone that should be interested. Yet, again as far as the trip itself is concerned, I will be taking care of the finances. ?.
