There is the practice of “crossplay”…. The person dresses up as a comic-book or video-game character of the opposite sex…Attending “cons” and other events. There’s an element of transvestism here, I’m sure… Just like on Halloween, one can attend a Con as a female character and no one will raise an eyebrow.
