I'm 27, single, college educated, liberal, passionate, intelligent, and considerate (I think:). Born in the DC area, grew up in the suburbs, went to a pretty good college on the west coast, and have been living in downtown DC (U Street) for over 4 years. I'm into checking out new places, and exploring the city... museums, walking around DC’s neighborhoods, movies, the monuments and mall, bars, sometimes clubs, lounges, wine, coffeeshops, lots of concerts, restaurants, etc. I have pretty diverse interests, and don't really conform to one single scene…I can be fairly cultured or charmingly lowbrow. Professional in general, but between jobs at the moment (my choice to move on from a completely bland consulting job, wasn't laid-off) and am taking the opportunity to try to find work that fits into my personality and passions where I can make a difference and do some good. Very laid-back, chill, witty but offbeat sense of humor, pretty good listener, try my best to be sensitive, and a loyal friend in general. I like indie films and movies in general, and a very eclectic blend of music from altindie rock to hip-hop, jazz, electronic, afrobeat, soul, and then some (you can find me on last fm under the name indiecognition). I’m into checking out live music, which makes living so close 930 Club, Black Cat, Velvet, and DC9 pretty sweet. TV-wise I mostly tune into Comedy Central, MSNBC, and Food Network (which is fed by my passion for cooking)...and I just might admit to some mindless Adult Swim fun too. My physical stats are white, 6' 230lbs (with muscular shoulders and arms that promise great hugs, but a few extra pounds around the middle that I'm working on losing), buzzed brown hair, brown eyes, a trimmed yet slightly-scruffy beard at the moment, and a warm smile that might turn a tiny bit impish if I like you:P
In general I'm looking for a girl who's smart, openminded, funny, creative, andor somewhere left-of-center. And of course, major cuteness is a plus as well:) It'd be cool if you're younger than 35 (or maybe 40 if you just have friendship in mind). Other than that, I don't have too many specifics as far as who I'd like to meet. Totally into women who are trans...and women who aren't.
