I’ve pretty much always sought to have serious relationships with a girl who is also my best friend. In the end, I suppose none of these has really worked out because I’m really more weird and unconventional than the girls I’ve been involved with. I’ve always had weird friends and gotten along with different types of people. Actually, I’ve preferred their company. But I’ve never taken them seriously as relationship material because frankly, they seemed too self destructive for the long haul.
I don’t know about the long haul right now and I’m not really thinking about it. What I’m thinking about is adrenaline. In a phrase, I want “pig nasty.” I’m thinking that the whole point of sex might be that you get to be someone different from your normal life. It’s like Halloween the whole year round. You get naked, and that’s you costume. Or maybe it just reveals the real you that’s been lurking underneath all along.
