I took early retirement in 1998 & I’m now busier than I’ve ever been. I spend a lot of time on community voluntary work including editor of a village magazine, I teach kids art from 5 to teens, & an adult group. Some of my time is spent painting in watercolour & oil. I like nights out at restaurants, walking & cosy nights in with dvdwine, Italian red is my favourite. I was a smoker but gave that up about 20 years ago. I’ve 3 daughters, all away from home. I was divorced Dec’04. I would like to have a trusting & reliable relationship with a nice lady, that may develop into something more serious. Eventually I do want to settle with a life long partner when I find the right person.
I’m a fairly quiet person, tactile, easy going & have a wicked, dry sense of humour. I enjoy antique shops (I collect all sorts), photography, TV (light hearted & comedy - not Big Brother!, Computers, various sports, painting & Internet, emails etc., travelling - I’ve been to USA (loads) & Seychelles (Once) with many European destinations on biz. I enjoyed Venice evident in my paintings, & Paris. I want to travel and have specific exciting destinations I would like to see, more of that in next email (I hope there is one!)
I’m a very honest, trustworthy & generous person, I love animals & have a couple of Jack Russells, get on well with kids having worked in the community & schools. I’m quite active, enjoy DIY, cooking & baking ( Not quite Cordon Bleu but I won’t starve), I keep a clean & tidy house which I own, enjoy my little sports car, great topless in the sun. I’m serious about a relationship whether it is just emailing (OK with me), chatting (OK with me) or maybe something more serious will develop. Who knows? The main thing is to make friends & make life a little more interesting than it is now.
