I have never been in “love”, truly in love, although I have been in long relationships which grew into feelings more of responsibility to someone else's needs instead of love. I just find it hard to hurt anyone's feelings, as ridiculous as it sounds in such intimate relationships that relies on openness, truth and trust. In my 'maturity' I have realised, in a relationship, besides the need for an active, adventurous and satisfying sex life (which has also been lacking), is an equality of intellect, to share ideas and insight in regards to the “bigger questions” of life, the universe and everything. (lol) I have never had that pleasure of mental stimulation after the sex, no matter how good that is, which is an equal enduring 'love' in a relationship. That is my enduring dream, to have such a whole and complete stimulating relationship, to admire and cherish the wholeness of your partner. Is that to much to hope for?
