e-mail preference

I just wonder how many people realise that thier contact preference is set so that only premium members can contact them. This is the defult setting. I am finding it a bit frustrating that people have taken the trouble to try and contact me and yet I am unable to return the curtesy.

I know that I could upgrade and then there wouldn't be a problem, but I have only just started to use the site and I am not prepaired to jump straight in with a subscription untill I can get a better feel for the site.
