How to start out in East scotland

I have been on here a day and its a bit overwhelming with all teh icons media advioce and rules. Better than another site though. So is it just a few active s eekers and bloggers or are there really a large group of horny individuals looking to meet with like minded ( I mean that in the literal sense of want the same kind of sex) people.
Will it be as random as in real chance meetings in supermarket or pub, hotel or yacht marina?
