Is a Premium membership really worth it?

I bought one yesterday, but I'm regretting it already. I mean, there seems to be a big lack of activity in general on the site, not to mention the site itself being quite slow most of the time. Perhaps I should expect it, but the male to female ratio is far too high here, which is a shame.

I think I will be cancelling my membership unfortunately since I don't get any replies anyway (even after messaging people).
