Time Wasters

We've made arrangements to meet several couples now both off here and another site . Trouble we're seeming to have is Time Wasters from on here . As a rule most we've chatted with first have been great with us seeing as we're still quite new to it all .

But the last two now off here have just either not turned up after we've travelled miles or just not made contact at the last minute .

We know anyone can change their mind but wouldn't you
think they would at least say so ?

Wouldn't some sort of Time Waster alert on these forum warn people considering such folks what they might end up with ?

Re: Time Wasters

Having seen your photos on your profile I can't understand anybody not turning up to meet you. Sometimes people do have last minute hitches, but I've heard similar stories in swingers' clubs so I guess there must be a few timewasters out there getting their kicks out of it in some weird way.

Personally I have always met everybody I've agreed to meet.

More than a few! They get their rocks off just thinking about it.img src="imagesadultemoticons020.gif"

Re: Time Wasters

Hi There,
just wanted to say that we`re new to this site and having read your posting can only hope that the same does`nt happen to us! How frustrating it must have been to travel and built up all the enthusiasm just to be so let down. Are these people sick that do this sort of thing?

Re: Time Wasters

sorry, meant to say that we feel your 'Time wasters' alert idea is a fantastic one! How about it admin?

Re: Time Wasters

Im not sure a time waster alert would be manageable to be honest as it would be open to misuse. For example, someone could vindictively add someone else because they had knocked them back.
There are always going to be some slip through the net but I think better preparation before arranging a meet might be more beneficial. Checking if someone has met anyone before, sending a message to people they have listed as "friends" to see if they have actually met, speaking to people on the phone, are all things that can be done to make sure someone is not wasting your time.

Sorry to say that we have to agree wholeheartedly with these comments - there are certainly people who make an artform out wasting genuine people's time and energies - personally speaking, we share such information with the people we know are genuine, blacklist the timewasters and simply move on.

That seems a much better system than others suggested on here and less open to abuse as you trust those you know for a fact are genuine.
