Well, its short for Bondage, Domination and Sado-Masochism. As to what it entails you'd be better off speaking to one of the practitioners in the chat room or mailing them.
It has many areas which also cross over into other areas and to try and answer your question in the forum would be tricky to say the least as it is a very wide subject.
Bondage involves people being tied up or restrained for pleasure. Bondage is usually a sexual practice. The paraphilia of being sexually aroused by bondage is sometimes known as vincilagnia.
Domination is a set of behaviors relating to the giving and accepting of dominance of one individual over another in an erotic or lifestyle context. The male is called a Dom and the female a Domme who dominate subs. A professional Domme is often referred to as a Dominatrix.
Sadism is the sexual pleasure in the infliction of pain and suffering upon another person. The word is derived from the name of the Marquis de Sade who championed the infliction and reception of extreme pain as an art form that was both sublime and beautiful.
Masochism is the sexual pleasure or gratification of having pain or suffering inflicted upon ones self. The name is derived from the name of the 19th century author Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, known for his novel Venus in Furs.
