So how do you get noticed on here

I'm new to this, and was just wondering how to get noticed - any hints or tips on what to do, and what not to do - both in the profile, in the forums, and also in the chat rooms?

A large hat and a loud shirt would get you noticed.
However, be polite, chat to people, have a sense of humour, dont let knock backs turn you into a foul mouthed stalker and stick plenty of pics on yoyr profile. Go to socials if you can and people remember your name.

Wade thru the forums and see what people say. Target posts from the type of person you're aiming for and see what they say
