The definition of the word ''Profile'? To offer a description,or a view....
Well it really is the view that is the definitive point,isn't it? How many profiles on these sites offer few words & no image? Maybe 75% ? Maybe nearer 85%? But why? The majority are people who want to meet people. That's for a variety of different things,for sure, but let's be honest, SEX in one shape or another! Wooh! She used the word sex & why would she as to many A' retentive it's like swearing in front of the clergy!
So yes sex is the chief reason we are here on this place, to have fun & enjoy a clandestine,naughty pastime.
So we look through the people who ping up & we think 'nice' or 'not for us'? But,in so many cases, that judgement, cannot be ascertained as there's;

No image?
No description?
But in our mind it may just be what we are looking for? So we take a punt & message. Just a brief Hello. We get a reply...a briefer Hi. Then push it a little by getting a chat going. After maybe 3 messages or a week of messaging, one thinks well these people sound nice,so that's good. But we haven't seen them. They are shy? They are scared? These people have seen 'US' clearly, definitively,without question they know what 'we' bring to the party! So again you politely ask for their 'mugshot'? After all what have we all to hide,as we are all on here for the same goals,surely?
Then the mailbox pings & there's the image. As humans our brain defines what our eye takes in. So in this case these lovely people that you have been chatting up for a time are not for us,after all? So it's not going to happen & to unhook from the situation,a reason is needed? A polite tactful excuse can be offered by some? Just a block in panic,by others? We, as in the 3rd party, put out on here & as sensitive people we don't handle rejection,do we? In fact it hurts.Its personal. It's a slur against us. It's the ultimate messy ejaculation!!!
And in the cold light of day it does not have to be,does it? A brief edit of yourself. A photo of partial faces. Heck if it's a few messages in & going okay reveal your true beauty

Or as Myself & dearest hubby now do & this is harsh,but fair? We will send ourselves in image. We will describe US as we truly are. We expect the same in return too. Or what we have done on 2 meets this year,when people have met up with us & they or their image does not in the least represent them on that particular day, then regardless of whether I'm gagging for it or not, then we have & will continue, to walk away in the 11th hour. As a woman I will not have my body invaded by somebody who can't be real & honest, male or female?
We do this for fun,leisure & pleasure. And not to lie their & think of England because it's politely too late? Advice for the uninitiated....it's never too late to walk away, but if you fill out your profile with some detail, you won't have to?
