Dear Community,
After some exploring I have realised that there is a way to save time, effort and heartache. The way to do that is to put essential information clearly and up front.
If each of us as members would do that, a lot of needless chatting as well as rejections would be minimized. It took us a while to figure out, and we're still in the process of implementing it.
The first step to this is to know exactly what we are looking for (including being clear if we are open to whatever emerges).
So this is what we've figured about ourselves:
- We're not looking for singles or bulls (there are also singles profiles masquerading as couples on this site)
- Some intellectual chemistry is a must (so bad English is out, standard simplistic chatting is a sort-of no)
- Want to take it very slow and one step at a time (there are others who want to cut the chase and get down to the action, and it helps for them to find others like them)
- Start with only the soft stuff (SRSP, SRDP and soft swaps work as initial steps....there are many here who are looking only for that and others who are looking for much more. All are valid but clarity helps)
- Mumbai western suburbs preferred, though not mandatory (its a city where travel is tough and long, and it is hard to do that if we are going to meet more than once....proximity helps)
- Age is an important factor, since we're on the edge of 40, couples willing to be with others of that age
- Very important - WE ARE NEWBIES so we are going to be awkward, strange and unsophisticated about this....patience for this is probably best found with others taking their first steps....maybe we could be a cohort of 2021 newbies!
That's a long list and at the end of it, only some couples will make the cut - maybe one or two. But that's okay and its a fun experience to meet new interesting people and get a flavour of the world outside our little bubble.
The high dream is to find a couple or two with whom we have mental, physical, emotional and spiritual chemistry....to find someone we could vibe with over a long time and have a great journey....but that's just a wish for now :)
