In a similar vein to my first post, I thought I'd use this space to expand on an aspect that I wasn't able to do justice to in the limited room available in my profile: what kind of relationship I'm looking for here.
As I mentioned in the profile, I am currently in a relationship that we recently decided to open up. What this means is that we remain committed to each other as life partners, but are comfortable with each of us dating separately. I can go into a little more detail privately with you if you need me to, but I can add here that in part this is influenced by my partner's stage 4 cancer and her desire to live as fully as possible in her remaining time.
It follows on from the above that I'm not currently looking for a relationship in the sense of a life partner; but as hopefully my profile made clear this doesn't mean that I'm just looking for hookups or even just a purely sexual relationship. In fact, while I'm open to one-off encounters it's not really my preference - I'd much rather find someone with whom there's enough compatibility and chemistry to be able to enjoy regular meets. Not only does this, in my opinion, greatly increase the chances of success in ensuring the right D/S dynamic but it's also more fun to get to know each other more fully, both in and potentially out of the bedroom if that's what you'd like too.
My free time is obviously limited to some extent, and I can't necessarily always make short-notice dates, but since this is a genuine open relationship and I'm not sneaking around behind anyone's back, I will be able to commit to fairly regular dates and there's a good deal of flexibility available. If I've contacted you and you're not very local to me it's safe to assume that I'm comfortable traveling to your area and making arrangements for accommodation at whatever frequency works for both of us.
Of course I know this won't be of interest to some, and I respect that; but I wanted to give a fuller picture of my situation for those who may be interested.
