There comes a point in your life (and that age is different for everyone) where you don’t give much thought to how old you are. I didn’t wake up this morning thinking “WTF?” “I’m 70?”. I’m pretty sure I’m still capable of doing all the things I did 10 years ago. Honestly, it’s just not something I give much thought to.
I guess I’m a little surprised, but not too surprised at what other’s think about my age. To someone in their 20’s, I’m old enough to be their parent. To someone in their 30’s I’m significantly older than they are. If you’re in your 40’s, I’m just somewhat older than you are. If you’re older than I am, then I’m just younger.
The thing that surprises me most is how those that are close in age to me, view my age. It seems most of my contemporaries are only interested in someone younger, to them I’m just “old”. Funny, I don’t feel any older than I did yesterday.
