On Being Me; The Importance of Trust

For a long time, my biggest fear was that people would find out that I am a cross-dresser. I was terrified of what people would say, what people would think, of being ostracised, teased or worse… girls like me are often targeted for violence. I was terrified to be me.

As I got I older I began to imagine my life as a woman. I had met a couple of guys online, but they had come to my place. I wondered, “How does a girl like me learn to trust the men that she meets online?”. But I worried, “How does a girl like me live her life is she is terrified to leave her front door?”.

I started chatting online with a guy I found attractive. After a while I began hoping he would ask me out, but still the thought lingered, “How can I trust him?”, I was scared. We talked about my fears of being ‘found out’ and being targeted if I went out in public.

He was great, he understood why I was scared. He encouraged me not to worry about what others think. He told me about his life, he made me believe that he was really into me, that he wanted to date ‘me’. Most of all he made me feel that I could trust him.

When we met, he looked exactly like his picture (trust). When we walked through the city looking for a place to eat, he joked about the fear I had described in our chats (trust). When some dodgy guys walked past and looked at me, he put his arm around me and protected me (trust). He tried to ensure I was comfortable (trust). I did trust him and, as a result, I experienced every feminine fantasy I had ever imagined.

This is the importance of trust. Many girls like me are scared of what's out there. But if they can trust you, you will find that they will make you very, very happy (lol)!
