The struggle is real

As a married guy in an open marriage, I find it extremely difficult and frankly painful to find a partner. Even in an forum like this where the lifestyle is accepted it has been an unbelievable battle. This is not the case with my wife, she has had a steady partner within 5 minutes of her declaring her status. We have separate partners and generally do not mix our other lives and we find that hot and satisfying, which makes it even harder to find a single/married woman to go out with me.Don't get me wrong, it's not difficult to find someone for a one night stand or a debauchery filled weekend. I am looking for a little bit more, not a relationship mind you. All I ask for is a conversation, a common interest and a casual acceptance of who we are. But all I see is a businesslike efficiency with which the 'flings' are 'executed'. I am a very patient man, so I am not giving up on finding like minded people, after all we are a country of billions of people. But, it does get to your head sometimes and thankfully there is a platform to rant. I hope this lifestyle choice catches on and people start to look at it beyond means to 'just' sex.
