I have just read a blog post where the author was describing the attitude of his friends to swinging - seeing it as deviant. I completely agree that this is the attitude amongst most people, although they see nothing wrong in lots of random hook ups.
I am incredibly lucky in that my husband enjoys watching me have sex with other men. He loves the confidence and sexual pleasure it gives me. He believes that I am so sexy and good in bed that he wants to share me with others and he is proud of how I pleasure my lovers.
However, we have not shared the secret of our swinging life with any of our friends/family (except 1 friend) because we fear their response.
I don't think that any of them would say that they thought our choices were disgusting but we don't tell them because we know they would worry about the security of our marriage and feel sorry for us. They would worry that we were falling out of love with each other despite the opposite being true.
There are so many people who are locked into the idea that 'faithfulness' is a very narrow concept. I am faithful to my husband - I never lie and I have never cheated on him.
