I am going to tell my story over the next few weeks. So please keep coming back.
I have struggled with my gender identity all my life. I was brought up in the 60's in a small Welsh village that was heavily involved in heavy industry. So it was very macho and sexual identity was never discussed, you were either a male or female anything else was taboo.
I can remember a time when I was five or six and I asked my dad why couldnt i be a girl. His reaction was outrage and I was sent to bed with a slap and told dont talk about things like that. I remember crying and praying to God to let me wake up the next morning a girl.
To be continued
