Image Guidelines - How We Moderate Images On The Site

12:24 pm Wednesday, 14th August, 2019

You may already be aware that all content that passes through the site is moderated by our Helpdesk team. This article gives you an overview on the guidelines our moderation staff refer to when categorising pictures, videos and comments so that the site is a better, safer place for all using it. This article will give you a better understanding of what to upload to your profile so that your pictures are passed by our Moderators and show on your profile sooner.

There are three main types of image which media uploaded will be categorised into: profile pictures, passed and failed.

Passed then has two further sub-classifications, we will discuss these at a later point.

If an image is classed as a profile picture, you will be able to set it as your main image via your profile, all other images on the site which can’t be set as a profile image are just Passed images. Finally failed images are just that, failed by our moderation team as they don’t meet the criteria needed to be allowed on site.

Profile Pictures

First up, profile pictures. These are the main images that represent your profile to others around the site.

Profile pictures can be either headshots or bodyshots. Face shots must meet the following requirements to be considered appropriate as a profile picture:

  • Show a good proportion of the face

  • No contact details anywhere on photo

  • No cartoon or cartoon-fashioned images

  • Image must match gender stated on profile

  • No photoshopping

  • No logos or copyrights

  • Be actually of you

  • No nudity

  • No children no matter how innocent the image may be

  • No website addresses/URLs

  • Photos with other people in the background are allowed as long as the other peoples’ faces are blurred

  • If you upload a couple’s profile, both may be on profile picture together, as long as you are registered as a couple

  • Images must be of at least a mediocre quality and clarity to be classed as a profile pic. Remember that with the majority of people using the site on mobile, if you have a dark picture or one that’s not so clear, you may get overlooked as people won’t be able to see it on the smaller screen of a mobile.

Examples of headshot images that would be accepted as profile pics:

Bodyshots must meet the following requirements to be accepted as a profile picture:

  • Show from at least shoulders to knees

  • Any intimate areas covered by clothing

  • No contact details anywhere on photo

  • Be actually of you

  • No cartoon or cartoon-fashioned images

  • Image must match gender stated on profile

  • No photoshopping

  • No logos or copyrights

  • No children no matter how innocent the image may be

  • No website addresses/URLs

  • (Photos with other people in background allowed as long as other peoples’ faces blurred)

  • (If a couple’s profile, both may be on profile picture together)

Examples of bodyshots that would be accepted as a profile picture:

Non-Profile Photo

If a picture as been passed but you do not have the option to set it as you profile photo, it is classed as a non-profile photo as it is not suitable to be a profile picture. Any photos with nudity, bodily fluids and sexual acts, will be automaticaly classed as a non-profile picture and will be visible on your profile.

General Photos

The general photos also have no option to set it as a profile picture. Any photos with animals, inanimate objects, landscapes, cartoons, quotes or food will be automatically classed as general photos. These photos will not be visible on your profile, however you can attach them to a message, blog or forum.

Failed Photos

Images that have been failed are not allowed onto the site whatsoever.

AN IMAGE MUST NOT DISPLAY ANY OF THE BELOW OR IT WILL BE FAILED (THIS INCLUDES ANY REFERENCE WITHIN THE CAPTION):

  • Children, any anything that could be related to children (no matter how innocent the image) this includes toys and photos within the image of children

  • Website URLs and logos

  • Contact details including phone numbers, addresses etc.

  • Anything that depicts violence and hatred or incentivises it

  • Rape or anything resembling it (this includes roleplay)

  • Scat

  • Watersports, golden showers, Roman showers

  • Any reference to animals which could be classed as sexual

  • Any reference to schoolgirls (including roleplay)

Thanks for taking the time to read through this, by vetting your images prior to uploading them you stand a better chance of them being passed by our moderation team at an earlier point so it’s well worth reading up on how images are classified!
