Latest Tactic by Fraudulent Members -Please Read To Keep Yourself Updated

Hello all,

So we’ve had some reports from members who’ve received emails from fraudulent people asking for the members to contact them regarding their profiles and about verifying themselves. These emails also contain information that states that the member’s profile contains information that is unsafe, needs to be checked etc. Of course, this is not true.

The fictitious verification used in this instance is ‘Vix verification’, although we’re sure there may be other names which they’re using UPDATE AS OF 17/6/19 - ANOTHER NAME BEING USED IS GREEN ID VIX VERIFY.

You can see below the screenshot of the email which was sent to one of our members claiming that their profile needs reviewing and that they require verification. This is totally bogus, of course.



Let’s spread the awareness of this and nip it in the bud - as we’ve already mentioned within past articles detailing how to stay safe on the site, we don’t ask you for any verification in order to use your membership.
