Studies show that women’s brains release the same pleasure chemical reaction during shopping as it does during sex. They also found that 55% of women said they would prefer to go shopping than have sex. Don't get me wrong I love a good deal but I also love “dealing with” too.
This week, the frenzy of Black Friday starts, so what better way to get into the spirit than to find all the reasons why shopping is like sex?
- Men like to get in and out quickly.
- Like in the bedroom, once a woman finds a sale she becomes a bit crazy and demanding.
- Sometimes a quickie ends up lasting longer than expected, just like popping in for a pint of milk and walking out with half the shop.
- Knowing you need to do a big food shop so make every excuse to put it off. “I've had a hard day at work”, “I have a headache”, etc.
- That tingling feeling you get down below when you find an absolute bargain is a bit like an orgasm.
- Walking around with that after sex grin just like when you're wearing a new outfit.
- Sometimes you buy something you regret but it's too late to return, like that time you had a one night stand you wish you hadn't gone through with.
- Not knowing if you want to hide your computer more for, your porn search history or the online shopping history.
- Instead of checking for drunk texts, you having to check your emails for purchase confirmations after having a few too many drinks.
- Being as dedicated to your favorite sex positions as you are to your favourite shops.
- Feeling stressed? Sex and shopping is therapeutic right?
- Your sex toy collection is starting to get a bit out of control like your shoe collection.
- You can't wait to get your hands on the packages, sometimes you want to rip them open and other times you want to build the excitement of the goods inside.
- You don't need a man to come with you, it can be better on your own.
- Being in denial about what size you actually are.
