New Relationship Mistakes

10:45 am Thursday, 29th August, 2013

You’ve found the one and the whole world has been spinning in your direction since you first clapped eyes on the one person you want to marry and have kids with. At the time it can be difficult to pull your head back from the clouds and face up to the fact that something might go wrong, but never worry it’s very common. Here are our top new relationship mistakes that pretty much all of us have made one of at some point.

Telling the world

Using social media to document your’s and you new partner’s every move is not a great starter to a relationship. Besides your new found love could well hate the fact that their face has been splashed all over the place: it could send them running a mile.

Hang onto your mates

We know the feeling. You want to spend every dying minute with your partner but stepping back and having some time out will benefit you both. Besides, could you imagine if it ended and you had ditched all you mates?

Dig too much

Wanting to know too much too soon is another bad idea. You could end up suffocating a person by digging up too much about them.

Text too much

Sending a constant stream of text messages to your new partner can be very off-putting. Although you might want to send 50 messages a day you could come off a bit stalkerish so try to keep them to a minimum.

Trying not to get swept away with your new love is easier said than done. If you don’t hold back however you could end up worse for wear: being friendless, socially embarrassed, and with a killer phone bill after your relationship fizzled a few months in is not a pretty situation.
